Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and CarHag ("CarHag", "we", "us") for using the CarHag website and service. By creating an account or using CarHag you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use CarHag.

1. What CarHag does

CarHag collects used car listings that sellers have posted publicly on third-party marketplaces, estimates what each car is worth from comparable listings, and points out cars that look underpriced. It links you to the original listing; you deal with the seller directly on that marketplace.

2. Estimates are not guarantees

Values, profit estimates, offer prices, wholesale estimates and deal labels are automated estimates from public listing data. They can be wrong. Listings can be inaccurate, outdated, fraudulent or already sold. CarHag does not inspect vehicles, verify titles, sellers, mileage or condition, or check vehicle history. You are responsible for your own inspection, title and history checks, and every buying and selling decision. CarHag is not a dealer, broker, appraiser or financial advisor.

3. Not affiliated

CarHag is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Facebook or Meta, Craigslist, OfferUp, Kelley Blue Book or any other marketplace or brand named on the site. Their names belong to their owners. Follow each marketplace's own rules when you contact sellers.

4. Your account

You must be at least 18 and give accurate information. Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity on your account. One person per account: don't share your login or resell, republish or redistribute CarHag's data, alerts or estimates.

5. Subscription, trial and billing

CarHag costs $35.99 per month, or $359.99 per year paid upfront, plus any applicable taxes. New members get one 7-day free trial; a payment card is required to start it. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts and your card is charged automatically. Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe.

You can cancel anytime from Billing in your account; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; the new price applies from your next renewal after the notice.

6. Referrals

When someone signs up with your referral link and pays for their first period after the trial, you receive one free month as account credit (for yearly members, a credit of one twelfth of the yearly price). Credits have no cash value, can't be transferred and are void for self-referrals, fake accounts or abuse.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use CarHag to break the law, harass sellers, scrape or copy CarHag, try to get around its access controls, or interfere with the service. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

8. Availability

CarHag depends on third-party marketplaces and services that can change or stop at any time. We don't promise that any listing, source, area or feature will always be available, complete or on time, and we may change or discontinue features.

9. Limitation of liability

CarHag is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, CarHag is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss from a vehicle you buy, sell or pass on, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

10. Changes and law

We may update these terms; if a change is significant we'll tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use CarHag means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
